About Presque Isle Downs
Presque Isle Downs is a Thoroughbred racetrack and casino in Erie, Pennsylvania. It opened in 2007 and was the first racetrack in the United States surfaced with Tapeta, an all-weather synthetic footing; the track has no turf course. Presque Isle holds a seasonal meet running from spring into autumn. Its signature event is the graded Presque Isle Downs Masters Stakes, contested on the synthetic surface.
