About Mahoning Valley
Mahoning Valley Race Course is a Thoroughbred track and casino in the Youngstown area of northeastern Ohio. One of the state's newer tracks, it opened in 2014 as part of Ohio's expansion of racetrack gaming. The track races on a one-mile dirt oval and conducts a winter-oriented Thoroughbred meet that complements the warmer-weather dates at Ohio's Thistledown. Its signature event is the Steel Valley Sprint. The facility is operated by Penn Entertainment as a combined racing and casino venue.
