About Turf Paradise
Turf Paradise is a Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racetrack in Phoenix, Arizona, and for decades the primary venue for the sport in the state. Opened in 1956, it races on a one-mile dirt oval with an infield turf course and holds a winter-to-spring meet that runs from late autumn into early May. The track has long been a seasonal destination for horsemen seeking warm-weather racing. Under new ownership since 2025, its long-term future at the current Phoenix site is expected to change, with the operator signaling plans to relocate elsewhere in the region in the years ahead.
